Liked the proximity to a lot of Rome's attractions and good restaurants. Clean and comfortable room. Absolutely beautiful rooftop views of Rome at this hotel. My husband and I took a bottle of wine up there one evening and watched the setting sun. We had the rooftop and all of Rome to ourselves!
Breakfast food was okay. Breads and pastries would be kind of stale if you arrived late morning and the coffee was weak from what my husband told me. Also, they were way understaffed in the dinning room. There was only one person who had to set up breakfast, clean up tables, and serve coffee to a room full of hungry people. I felt bad for her. Our shower sometimes didn't have hot water but really, our stay was quite nice and we did enjoy ourselves.
The location of Hotel Campo De'Fiori was superb. Our favorite part of our hotel was the market every day in our piazza where we bought fresh food to dine on up on the fantastic rooftop of the hotel. The rooftop views were beautiful and there was comfortable furniture on different levels on the roof to hang out on. The reception staff at the desk made great recommendations and were extremely welcoming and friendly. The gelato place right next to the hotel was one of our favorites and made fresh every day. The rooms were quiet with good soundproofing. We would stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.
The air conditioning could have been set at a cooler temperature and more shelving or places to store belongings would be nice. Instead of lots of sweets at the breakfast buffet, I would rather have seen more healthy options. Of course none of this overruled the overall stay at the hotel, because it was a great place!
We stayed in one of the Hotel's apartments just off the Campo dei Fiori. We could still enjoy the terrific view from the Hotel's roof garden of the city (St. Peters, Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele ii, etc.), but were far enough that we weren't disturbed by the nightlife when we were ready for bed.
Incredible staff, perfect location, beautiful rooftop terrace. The apartments are beautiful and separate from the hotel (but just next door). The apartments give you the feeling of having a private home instead of staying in a hotel. This was an excellent hotel experience for us. We highly recommend staying here.
Wifi is only available in the public portions of the hotel. Quality of the hotel was very high, but so was the price. It was worth it, but this might not be the best selection for budget minded travelers.
Location is very central and the staff is perfect, extremely helpful and accommodating.
Lower floor rooms face noise from the main square on weekend nights.
great location, warm but needed extra blankets at night time ,also cleaning staff kept moving my belongings which was a pain !
beautiful hotel, excellent location. staff is very friendly and helpful. rooms decorated beautifully, gorgeous rooftop balcony to sit out on night or day.
We travelled with 2 older children, so booked the one bed apartment which was across the other side of the Piazza. The apartment was great, had everything we needed and was excellently located. The apartment is up on the 4th floor, with no lift, so you need to be prepared to carry your luggage up some very steep stairs. Staff at the hotel were very courteous and helpful, and the actual hotel looked lovely and old world.
Friendly and Helpful Staff and the Roof-top terrace provided a Romantic setting and stunning views.
The hotel was delightful, the room lovely, the staff fantastic and the roof terrace had great views.
It could do with a small bar
Location is superb. Decor is nice. Hotel rooms look very comfortable.
We stayed in the apartment not the hotel - very noisy and detached from hotel facilities. Spend the little extra and go for the hotel room instead. Also only one English tv channel. bbc World News gets old very quickly!
great location, fabulous roof terrace, very friendly helpful staff.Rome gorgeous
The hotel is located steps from the main square of Campo De Fiori, which makes it an ideal starting point to many city destinations. Plus, the piazza has a happening nightlife for a lot of fun. Best of all, there is a rooftop terrace for all guests which provides amazing panorama views. Excellent for sunsets with a glass of wine, as the sun goes down over St Peter's basilica.
Rooms are generally fairly small, but they have nice decor. If you do not want to be near the nightlife, you'll especially want to avoid this hotel (and entire area) on Fridays and Saturdays when it is extremely busy.
The centralized location is excellent for getting around and there is plenty to do within easy walking distance.
A very pleasant and hospitable place to stay in Rome.
Lovely little hotel, nicely located within walking distance of major attractions like spanish steps. Room was very nice, comfy bed, beautifully decorated and quiet. Breakfast was nice and the atmostphere very relaxing.
